I Want to Put on my my my my Boogie Earrings!

The last few weeks I’ve had it in my head I want some rather chunky Disco ball like dangling earrings. You would think this to be an easy task, but I’ve looked at no less than 1000 pairs in every store that I’ve been though that sells earrings the last few weeks. No GO! Well, deterred I shall not be! I happened to have some Swarovski Hot Fix crystals that I didn’t use from a previous project. A little Creative Paperclay® Modeling Material, a few jewelry findings, and black paint later and I have my earrings!

I’m so in love! I couldn’t get it in the pictures, but I’m here to tell you, these things sparkle. They’ve got a nice swing to them which makes the sparkle effect even more excellent. The earrings were super easy to to make, I did it in less than an hour and a half totes (plus overnight drying time). If you want step by step instructions, check out my Creative Paperclay® Modeling Material blog post tutorial.

By the by, if you’re in the market for Swarovski Hot Fix crystals or any other jewelry findings, may I suggest my favorite online store? I’ve shopped with JewelrySupply.com off and on for several years. I find their prices to be competitive (Much Much MUCH better than craft stores), their selection top notch, and their shipping time to be quick and efficient. They didn’t pay me to tell you so – heck, they don’t even know I’m saying so. I’m just one happy customers with lots of crystals lying around waiting to be bejewel anything that will sit still – including a new project coming soon!

    • Yes, that happens sometimes! As I’m getting more adventurous, I’m starting to think more about making my own clothes too. Sure would be nice to get exactly what I wanted. :)

I wondered who would notice the cookie jar in the background. I still need to give him a name. Maybe he will be “TheBored” hahaha!

    • You know… I was watching Halloween for the ‘H’ movies the other night and eyeballing Jamie Lee Curtis’ pants. I really LOVE the late 70s high waited bell bottoms. I might have to make myself a pair to go with my flip flops!
