Have yourself a geeky little Christmas!

Merry Christmas y’all!

8bitwreathcrossstitchThis is the a cross stitch of the ThinkGeek.com 8-bit wreath. I believe it is a seasonal item, so I can’t link you directly to it, but I can show you a picture of mine.

ThinkGeekWreathThis hangs on my office door though the holiday season blinking blink blinking away. I didn’t have time (patience, knowledge) to wire up my cross stitch version, but I did have fun animating the picture!

You can make one too!

Think Geek’s 8 Bit Wreath in Cross stitch ~ Pattern ~ Finished size 4.5″ x 5.5″ on 16ct aida cloth.

I did not include the DMC numbers because I put my thread away before writing it down! Don’t worry – they are nice easy peasy colors that you can grab from your stash. I also made some minor changes to the controller (switched it to gray and put the buttons in SNES color order).

While I was animating, I figured I’d put together the WIP. I so love to watch them when other folks do it. Does that make me as weird as I feel?

We’re looking for Santa – shouldn’t be too long now! Hap-Hap-Happy Holidays to all of you!

    • I enjoy it. It does take a fair amount of time. I took this one on vacation with us. Since we had a delayed flight, I picked up a few unexpected hours!
